In 2006 the Radiotherapy Board regrouped and widened its membership by engaging the multidisciplinary junior staff from the three departments of NMUH, RFH, and UCLH to invigorate its work plans.

Providing the highest quality service is the Board’s target. It will attain this by meeting exacting Peer Review standards and Accreditation processes and during 2006 the challenges of meeting the Cancer Waiting Time targets has been a considerable achievement.

The major Network Services Integration (NSI) Project for Radiotherapy, initiated in 2004, has achieved much and reaped rewards through the appointment of two Network-based facilitators to harmonise the development of workforce, education, and treatment guidelines across the three departments.
