Macmillan Cancer Information Centre

Macmillan information centres provide good quality, comprehensive and appropriate cancer information for anyone affected by cancer.

They are staffed by a Macmillan information specialists, supported by cancer nurses and trained volunteers. They support patients, their family & friends, as well as staff.

What we offer...

    We have a browsing library of resources which includes:

  • information booklets on all aspects of cancer

  • details of cancer related books in local public libraries

  • free guided internet access

  • details of local and national support agencies and services

  • We also provide:

  • weekly financial Benefits advice sessions

  • regular talks on specific information topics, e.g nutrition

What do people ask us?

How can I learn more about the type of cancer I have? Who can I speak to about advice on financial benefits? What support is available to me as a carer? Do you have any details of local and national support groups? Do you have details for complementary therapy services?

Just drop in ...

The service is based in the Rosenheim Building and callers are welcome to just “drop in” to the Centre – there's no need for an appointment. If we are closed, callers can leave a message in our post box or contact us by phone or email.
